Saint Mary’s basketball teams made headlines this season, with the Men’s Basketball Huskies emerging as the 2014 Subway AUS champions, and the Women’s Basketball Huskies ending a 31-game winning streak with a single season loss to take home a CIS silver. During that season finale, Justine Colley, twice the most valuable player in Canadian university sport women’s basketball, ended her incredible five-year career with a game-high 20 points. The fifth-year guard from East Preston, N.S., is the sixth multiple winner of the Nan Copp Award and remains the only player from the Atlantic University Sport conference to merit CIS-MVP honours.
